That day, we headed to Stephie and Chris' house to visit for the night. The plan was to go to Crane's Beach the next day. We hit a bit of traffic, but still made it in plenty of time. We had a great time. Steph had ordered a pizza for us and the kids played with Molly like crazy. I got to hold sweetie Evan and catch up with the Williams'. After Evan was in bed, Steph and Chris went out on a long overdue date for dinner. Evan was so easy to watch, he went down at 6:30 - and not one peep from that nursery until the next morning! Chris unfortunately had to work at 10 that night (I feel for him, I am all too familiar with IT routine), so when they got home, Steph and I watched Bride Wars.
In the morning, Molly was squeaking her toy outside our bedroom at 6am. The kids were itching to play with her, so I leashed her up and walked her and let the kids go crazy outside, hoping we didn't wake everyone up. It was clear to me at this point it was no beach day. Cool, overcast - chance of rain - yuck! Steph and Evan were soon up and joined us outside. Later Steph made coffee cake and we tried to work out a plan for the day. I must add, Evan is a fantastic little baby. He just sat in his bouncy chair, while we chatted in the kitchen over coffee. He coo'ed and smiled at me constantly. He thinks all my jokes are funny and I do believe he winked at me once. I've never seen a more content baby. What an absolute cutey pie.
So anyway, It was decided I would take the kids to the New England Aquarium since the weather was so iffy. Evan is still so small, so Steph decided to keep him home with her and just visit with Mom when she arrived mid-morning. (Mom was off on furlough too.) But first the kids had to get in a good hour or so with Fun Uncle Chris. He is so patient with the kids, always smiling and always has time for them. Miles and Addie think he is pretty great. :)
So...off we went to the Aquarium! Good thing we skipped the beach, it was freezing by the water, waiting for tickets. Kids had a great time. It was so nice not to be rushing, I told them as long as we're together, we can see whatever they wanted. Of course the penguins were the cutest, and I liked the turtles - man they were HUGE!
After we were done looking around, I took the kids to the gift shop. I offered to buy them each a poster for their room. While we were flipping through the choices, we happened upon something similar to this shark picture. Addie gasped and begged me to quickly turn to the next one. Miles was just staring at it and said, "I want that one." I told him, his sister was too scared, and it would bother her too much. So we settled on the below tree frog:

Of course, Addie chose the baby harp seal for her wall. She is so sweet. :)
