Six Flags
We've been promising the kids all summer we'd take them to Six Flags. Our logic was, we live so close, why wouldn't we go? We were thinking of even getting season passes. Yeah, with only days left of summer vacation, we had yet to go. So we finally did:
Here is my family going up the water Blizzard ride. I don't like rides that drop you down a hill, I was very happy to snap the pictures though!

Here they are about to careen down the water slide:
And sliding down...they are in the front...

Bumper cars:

And here are pictures of the roller coaster my crazy husband took my baby girl on. I was so bummed she was tall enough and I had no good reason to over-protect her. Jason was so happy to accompany her. I took these after they went, I couldn't watch while they were on it, so I took Miles on some rides while we waited. It goes up this hill, then backwards, looping around. Addie LOVED it.

Here they are, all proud of themselves. Miles did not go, but was in the "I'm so awesome" picture.
Later, we told the kids they could get one junk item. Popcorn, ice cream, pretzel..whatever. So what do they choose? An Ice-e. As we walked up to the counter to buy the Ice-e, I said, "You know, Dad and I are getting Cold Stone ice cream. It's very, very good. Are you sure this is what you want?" Both kids nodded, so sure. Okey dokey...we buy the Ice-e's and they start slurping away. Jason and I head over to Cold Stone, a treat - we never get to go. We choose delicious concoctions, we sit down outside and start digging in. The kids decide they are done with their Ice-e's. Wha? They have ingested about two inches each of these stupid $4 a pop "delights". UGH. What are we - rookies? They throw them away and we all sit. You know what happened next. They start with the puppy eyes to have a bite. Jason got a mint chocolate chip thing and I got the coffee lovers thing. Guess who's the kids liked better? Yep - Jason's. I sat back and happily ate while he kindly shared. Look at the kids, leaning in like wolves:

Here is mine, left untouched by the ravenous children:
