Set out Friday around 2pm. Headed for Dover, DE to spend the night. Went pretty smoothly..

We were sooo ready to leave behind the cool, rainy weather that plagued the summer months in NE so far.

Here is Miles removing his sandals in Manhattan. Lordy, that kid has stinky piggies!!!

Oh yeah, we took Jason's car!! It was, um, a bit tight. But he wanted to see if we could make it work. It worked. But it is not recommended.

Met up with the rest of the crew. They beat us there. They drove straight through the night and were a tad pooped. Traffic onto the OBX was God-awful nasty.

We were off! And here we have the expert, the one and only guru of sand and surf. Yes, folks - here is the
Beach Queen!

My sis - new mom. She usually takes caffeine by the IV, but had to settle for the mainstream way.

Here Addie is saying, "Are we DONE?"

Look for this one in December...I was going to wait to show, but who am I kidding?? Only about 3 people read this blog.

Major Monopoly trading happening.

Chill-axing with my sweetie.

Mucho dolphin sightings!

Addie with Uncle Chris. He was such a good sport. I think my kids left him alone for a total of 9 minutes that week.

So cute! Miles kept doing this pose every time he slid back on the beach!

Steph and Miles were teammates for cooking. Here they are making ribs. Our oven was s-l-o-w, but Steph was very patient and they came out absolutely delicious. The other teams were Chris and Addie and Jason and me. Mom volunteered for all the clean-up and we all agreed that was a sweet deal! I miss that so much now!!

I love this one. It captures Addie's awesome belly laugh.

And speaking of, can't you just hear Miles giggling here?!

Waves were just perfect. The guys spent hours in the water body surfing.

Daddy's turn to chill-ax!

Stephie - she looks so happy! She is quite the fish! Very bold, goes right in the water.

I swear she just helped bring them upstairs!

Uncle Chris gets all the credit for getting these babies in the air. Thanks Chris!!

Wonderful, wonderful family vacation. Thank you!!
