So I cut Miles' hair tonight. I've been doing Jason's for years, and have done Miles' since he has started needing them. (Just so you don't think I am completely new at this.) I've been meaning to cut Miles' hair for a week now and thought I would do it after dinner tonight. So I did. Everything was fine until I was blending the sides to the top. I usually use scissors, but found the "left ear" buzzer attachment in my hair kit. I had never used it, so I put it on and started to buzz away. On the right side. It left about 4-5 lines of scalp on the side of his head! Here is the conversation:
Me [buzzing away] : Uh oh.
Miles: What?
Me [changing the attachment]: Nothing.
I thought I had covered my mistake after going around the head a second time with a shorter attachment. That is, until I put him in the bath just now and the lines came back. I still haven't told him.

too funny. I did something similar to Marc MANY years ago. after that he learned to buzz himself. I am only allowed to touch the back where he can't reach. I keep begging for another chance but he is gun shy. I bet Miles would think it is cool.
Funny - same with me doing Matt's hair. Probably 10 years ago. I am no longer allowed to touch it. Also, except the unreachable back...
