Anyway, Sunday I decided we would head out for an adventure. I really wanted to climb Mt. Tom, but didn't think the kids would be up for it. Well, by that I mean - Miles. So I crafted a grand plan: Go to Glendale Falls, then to Chesterfield Gorge, then apple picking in Chesterfield. Here was our first stop below:
Of course, Jason had to check out the maps and info for his encyclopedia (aka his brain).
Pretty view, huh? Oh wait - this picture is missing something.
Ah, much better.
Next stop - Chesterfield. So, we plugged in the address to the TomTom and off we went. Only problem was TomTom wanted us to go through the woods to get there. We opted not to go that route. The alternative was a dirt road. That led to a rock road. That led to a grassy, dirt, and protruding rock road covered in grass. Uh oh. After about 30 minutes of going through the Blair Witch Project-esque wild goose chase, we turned the car around. Oh yeah, and after Jason's bumper was hanging off. I actually had to get out of the car and direct him so we wouldn't end up in a ravene. UGH.
This is where our Gorge hunting ended. We headed home to the apple place near home. No picking, just buying. Not as much fun, but it was getting late and we were a little peeved about the car.
